A two day expedition journeying through the winter mountains and learning or advancing your winter walking skills, building your own snow hole and sleeping in it.

Perfect for novice winter snow holing participants and those wishing to advance and progress their winter mountaineering skills with the following areas being covered.

Understanding mountain weather forecasts
Avalanche forecast and awareness
Winter navigation techniques
Safe and efficient movement on snow
Using crampons and ice axe
Personal equipment and what to carry

All of our courses are run by qualified and experienced instructors who hold either the Winter Mountain Leader (WML) award or the Mountain Instructor Certificate (MIC)

*Our two day courses will run in the Cairngorms National Park or an area close by depending on conditions.
